Turkey is a country that is filled with inspiration for designers. I design jewelry myself and I love exploring local designers. But meeting a local "usta" (master) and learning traditional techniques is an experience to treasure, and when I found one, I wanted to share this with people who would like to enjoy this experience. So, are you ready to get creative? Be part of a fun jewelry workshop taught by a friendly local "usta" who has been in the Grand Bazaar since his childhood and learned all about creating a unique piece in the very source of authenticity. We will step into his studio in one of the hidden "han"s (historical building) of the Grand Bazaar for a perfect hands-on experience that will teach you how to create and design your own accessories through different techniques. All the tools are provided by the usta, all you have to do is to let all the inspiration you have got from Istanbul flow through your fingers to your jewelry piece: a ring, earring, bracelet, or a pendant!

Let's make some jewelry! Join me for a fun workshop, all about the art of jewelry making. Meet a local "usta" ('usta' means master or teacher in Turkish) and step into his private studio located in the hidden hand of Grand Bazaar, the heart of authentic jewelry and ateliers in Istanbul. Get to know more about his work and story. You will be learning the art of gold-smithery and jewelry making from the "usta", a man who's been actively devoting himself to this craft for almost 25 years. Time to create! Enjoy a super fun workshop: choose from various materials, then design and create your own jewelry by learning different techniques. Once you are done, you will have a very special piece of jewelry that will help you remember Istanbul forever! After the workshop, there will be more time for questions and stories over coffee. Then it's time to say goodbye! IMPORTANT NOTE: WE WILL MEET AT MEETING POINT OUTSIDE THE GRAND BAZAAR AREA. PICK UP/DROP OFF FROM THE HOTEL IS NOT AN OPTION FOR THIS EXPERIENCE.
