Greetings from Istanbul, The City that never sleeps. Thank you for choosing Istanbul as your next destination. I'm sure you'll love this city and bring good memories back home. I'm Anil. 38 years old. I was born and raised in Canakkale (a. k. a. Troy in English where Troy movie(2004) was shot). I graduated from Selcuk University in 2008 and studied Tourist Guide. Since our studies covered many subjects, I got courses in Art History, Religion, Archeology, Literature, etc. During my university years, I worked at hotels as a waitress and receptionist to cover my expenses for my studies. I got my license in 2009 and I've been working as a tour guide in Istanbul since then. History is my main focus but literature and cinema are my personal interests. I even took courses on scripting short movies from Cem Baseskioglu (Film Director). I would like to talk about my personal life a little. I live in the Asian Side of Istanbul, Moda/Kadikoy. I feel so lucky to live here because this neighborhood hosts Erasmus students, different cultures and religions such as Christians, and Jews. It's full of bars, restaurants, and theaters. Moreover, it's a very animal-friendly neighborhood. I can simply say it's the pearl of Istanbul. I live with my beautiful kitty called Luna. I have 4 rescued dogs and many cats in my hometown. As summary, You can experience the history of this city such as Justinianus's Hagia Sophia, the tiles of Blue Mosque, greatness of Topkapi and Dolmabahce Palaces. You can walk in the historical streets of Eminonu. You can taste famous ice cream, kebaps, veggie starters and so on. After that, you can navigate along The Bosphorus for a nice breeze. Please feel free to reach out to me after making up your mind. We can customize it together without any hassle. Licensed by Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Member of the Union of Tourist Guide Chambers. Due to the regulations declared by the government, some of the museums might be closed depending on the date of the tour. Please contact me for the further details. For instance ; Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays

We start exploring Old City with Soliman Mosque. The biggest complex of Istanbul with tombs, courtyard, spectacular panoramic view of The Ottoman Empire. The complex dates back to the 16th Century, which is The Golden Era of The Ottoman Empire. We take a walk down the hill to Rustem Pasha Mosque which was founded by Sultan Soliman's Grand Vizier Rustem Pasha in 16th Century, famous for beautiful blue Iznik Tiles. If you would like to visit Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Market), it's on our way. Therefore, it's possible to experience Turkish Delight, spices, tea etc. It's now time to cross to New Town. Galata Bridge is the best way to get there famous for fishermen and fish restaurants. And that will take us to the 2nd oldest metro in Europe, The Funicular. After a short ride, we are close to famous Galata Tower which was built by Genoese in 14th Century. We can either go to the top or take pictures from outside. We can conclude our tour with Istiklal St. famous for shops (modern) and street food such as rice.
During this tour, We will see some of the most beautiful places, such as: -Soliman Mosque -Rustem Pasha Mosque -Spice Bazaar (Optional) -Galata Bridge -Funicular Ride (2nd oldest metro of Europe, after England) -Galata Tower from outside (Depending on the line, we can go up the tower) -Walking along famous pedestrian street called Istiklal Street.
