Hi! My name is Ivana and I have been working as a guide in Slovenia for many years. After travels all over the world throughout years and working in tourism, I have come to the conclusion that Slovenia really is my favourite place and I love to share its secrets with people that come here, hungry for unique experiences and personal contact. I believe some of the best places in Slovenia can be hard to find without local guides and knowledge and I wish to offer just that. Curious by nature, there is no topic I am not interested in and I have many interests and passions that range from outdoor activities, history, cuisine, and wine to vintage cars, politics, and literature. So, I am happy to give you an insight on local life, history or any other topic and I am also welcoming what I can learn from you. I have lived in Slovenia for most of my life, except a few episodes in Australia chasing the dream of "perpetual summer" during my studies of English. As a student I also worked with exchange students coming to Slovenia and tried myself as a teacher of English for a little while, but my restless nature was calling me elsewhere, so I have found myself at home in tourism. I have been working as a certified tourist guide for quite a few years now. Slovenia can be a perfect location for any sort of traveller - there is something for everyone. I am happy to adjust the tour to your interest and organise activities, best suited to you. I like flexibility and nothing makes me happier than satisfied guests, who enjoy our country's wealth of sights. I love the outdoor and I can say that one of my most happy places are the Slovenian Alps. A very important issue for me is nature conservation and sustainability. As the first recipient of the Green Microphone Award in 2018, an award for tourist guides who are considered to be the voice of responsible tourism, I feel it is important to try and have a positive impact in the tourism industry. I try to encourage my guests to act responsibly and think about the choices they can make as tourists to contribute to local communities and the environment. I am looking forward to meeting you, wherever in the world you might come from, and I will be happy to be a part of your holiday and make it special! - Accredited tourist guide by the Tourism and Hospitality Chamber of Slovenia (TGZS) - BA of English language and literature - Wine Connoisseur course at Belvin Wine School - First recipient of the Green Microphone Award in 2018 - Driving licence for up to 8 passengers I cannot guide in museums.

Join me and visit the most popular attraction in Slovenia, Lake Bled, but with zero impact on the environment. Making sure our carbon footprint is minimized, we will use an electric vehicle to get there and move around the lake mainly on foot. I will show you some of my favourite spots for great views and give you a true local perspective. We will visit a local farm and contribute to the local community, meeting people who are working hard in order to keep the old traditions alive and who can treat you to some traditional home-made cuisine. We will not miss the main attractions as well and my favourite place, Bled Island on a traditional "pletna" row-boat as well as Bled Castle, which is over a 1000-years old. Lake Bled really looks like a fairytale and I will share some local stories, which will make you believe this place was created with magic. Joining me on this tour, will also help keep this magic healthy and clean for future generations.
Pick up at your location in Ljubljana After 45 min drive, arrival to Lake Bled, introduction to the resort town and a stroll along the lake Traditional "pletna" boat ride to Bled Island Visit of a local farm near Bled Visit of Bled Castle with some free time for coffee or cream cake The itinerary can change if you do not to wish to visit any of the attractions, if you prefer more free time or if you want to include a hike (45 minutes) to a view point.

We will move between Ljubljana and Bled in an electric car, Volkswagen e-Golf model, which is a comfortable, quiet, and most importantly, clean way to get around. Slovenia has plenty of charging stations, so we will make use of those in case we need to. At an additional cost, I can upgrade the car to a BMW i3 or a Tesla car for more comfort.
