Dear traveler! I love to connect with people and I am totally in love with our little sLOVEnia! ;) I live in Ljubljana, a small, lovely capital, where I finished my studies. I love foreign languages, history and nature and traveling has always been my greatest passion. My 28-year-long career as a local guide and trip leader has brought me into contact with travellers from all over the world, in several foreign languages. Besides that, in the past I lead Slovenian guests to different overseas countries. Slovenia is a small 'green patch' of Europe. It's the only country whose name contains the word 'love'. At your visit, you will see why. It's a small country of big beauty and full of small discoveries. Check out our national anthem, called 'Zdravljica' - 'The Toast' http://www. preseren. net/ang/3_poezije/13_zdravljica. asp) Traveling opens horizons, strenghtens torelance and makes people happier. That's what happens to me, when I travel myself. Therefore, when I guide, the hapiness of my guests is my primary goal. I've got a lot of experience in driving/guiding by car/van and safety is very important for me. I'm professional, knowledgeable, open, fun. . . and my guests often comment: 'your enthusiasm is contagious'. . . ;) I'll be very happy to help you in advance with your holiday planning , so your Slovenian experience will be trully unforgettable. "Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends. The Slovenian coast is short, but I love to visit it. It is located on Istrian peninsula, which is full of stony little villages on hilltops, with beautiful views and sites. The area hides several treasures. Little Hrastovlje church from 13th century hides amazing 15-century frescoes, especially the most known Slovenia fresco 'The dance of death'. The most attractive town is beautiful Piran with its Venetian-gothic architecture. It is for sure my favorite place at the coast. It was for a long time ruled by Venetians and was famous for the salt production, on the nearby still existing salt-pans, where Slovenia gets the majority of salt even today. The town is a typical Mediterranean labyrinth of small alleys and beautiful little palaces, ruled by amazing walls on the hill above the town. The views are breathtaking and restaurants on the promenade by the sea a must to visit.
It will take us about 1h to get to Hrastovlje. I just love to go there - the setting of the little walled church in the midst of vineyards ruled by the cliffs in the back is nothing but stunning. - After a short visit of the church completely covered in frescoes we will drive to a viewpoint from where we will see almost the whole Slovenian coast and more (a surprise!). - After some more surprise stops on the way we will need about 1/2h to get to Piran, the jewel of Slovenian coast. - We will visit the old town, enjoy it looks and views from different points of view, get lost in a labyrinth of its little allies and stroll on the promenade at the sea. - We can even have a typical coastal meal and make your taste buds sing while enjoying in local goodies. The return to Ljubljana will take us 1h20min.
