Underground discovery and historical mystery with a private guide
Overview of your Ljubljana tour
I am in love with caves. I have been to a lot of them, big or small ones. First time I was to Postojna cave, which is big and amazingly beautiful, was long ago, when I was in the primary school. It amazed me then and still it amazes me ;) The Postojna Cave is a 21-km long karst cave system, a web of underground passages, galleries, and chambers, which has in almost 200 years been visited by over 33 million people. There's almost no corner in the cave without a beautiful stalactite, stalagmite, a curtain or similar. The cave boasts the oldest underground train in the world, which we will use partly to explore this underground jewel. Visit the Predjama castle, a mysterious fort-like building close to the cave. It's a labyrinth, holding lots of different stories, including a secret passage helping generations living in the castle.

For our second day with Barbara we chose the Postojna Caves and Predjama Castle tour and yet again she provided us with a day of travel(once more including "off the beaten track" locations) education , fun and laughter, growing friendship and many memorable moments. Your Ljubljana tour itinerary
We will need approx. 40 min to get to the town of Postojna, which is famous for one of the world's most amazing underground caves, the cave of Postojna. - We will take a train to get into the heart of the cave and then on foot for about 1h explore this wonder of nature with its uncountable stalactites, stalagmites, curtains, towers, and huge galleries and halls. (No claustrophobia, due to the absence of small tunnels). - The Predjama castle is located in a picturesque small valley in the vicinity of the cave (10min ride). - We will enjoy its looks and reveal its mysteries. - On the way we will cover a lot more than just about the caves. I am open to tell you more about the country, to answer any questions and having lots of fun with you! ;)
