I will show you the most beautiful sights around the city in a relaxed manner. During the tour, you'll admire the beauty of the art-nouveau architecture, the bridges spanning the Ljubljanica river, our beautiful baroque cathedral. . . , all spiced up with enchanting stories and anecdotes from the past and present which you cannot find in a guide book. I will tell you how in the past, Slovenians lived by, and on the river, and how they live today, as well as giving you some tips on what to do and see during the rest of your stay in Ljubljana or Slovenia. You will discover that Ljubljana, despite being so small, has always been a vibrant city with a small-town friendliness.
We'll start our tour next to the statue of our greatest poet France Prešeren, we'll go across the - Three Bridges above the narrow Ljubljanica River and head into the old town on the right bank of the river. - We'll walk a bit just to get to the Town Hall and St. Nicholas Cathedral. - Our next stop will be the city's outdoor market, filled with stalls selling fruits and home-grown vegetables. - We'll cross the Butcher's and Dragon Bridges and continue our walk to see some other attractions: Križanke, the National and University Library and Congress Square.
