Hello my dear guest! My name is Maja and there’s nothing I love more than meeting people from around the world and sharing the hidden treasures, vibrant culture, and warm spirit of my country. What started as a way to stay connected with the languages I studied soon became my greatest passion—guiding. As a National licensed tour guide, I’ve had the joy of exploring Slovenia for more than 15 years with private guests and international groups, from team-building adventures to tailor-made journeys. My experience in tourism also includes working with tourism organizations and travel agencies, where I was involved in creating travel programs and promoting Slovenia abroad. Speaking multiple languages has allowed me to connect with guests from diverse backgrounds, making each tour richer and more meaningful. To me, a tour is far more than sightseeing—every place has its stories, legends, and hidden corners. I love bringing these stories to life and helping visitors experience Slovenia like a local. Along the way, we explore traditions, savor local cuisine, and enjoy authentic moments together. I always strive to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and I am very happy to customize tours to your wishes and interests, so that your experience can be truly personal, memorable and unique. I can't wait to meet you and enjoy discovering the magic of Slovenia together!

Want to see Ljubljana like a local? Come hang out with me on a relaxed walk through Koseze, the green neighbourhood where I grew up in Yugoslav times — just 15 minutes from the city centre, but a world away from the tourist crowds. We’ll stop by the local market for some tasty bites (think cheese, prosciutto, pastries, and a glass of wine), then wander through quiet residential streets while I share stories about childhood, school, housing, and what everyday life was like back then compared to today. We’ll walk around Koseze Pond and explore the nearby nature park, a favourite local spot for relaxing, walking, and escaping the city noise. Part of our walk follows the Path of Remembrance and Comradeship, where history, personal stories, and modern Slovenia come together. It’s relaxed, personal, and a great way to experience Ljubljana beyond the usual tourist spots.
Meeting and transportation to the outskirts of Ljubljana (10–15 min) Koseze Local Market At the local market, we see how locals shop and taste some of my favourite regional foods like cheese, prosciutto, pastries, and wine. Neighbourhood Walk We walk through the green neighbourhood where I grew up, and I share personal stories about childhood, school, housing, and everyday life in Yugoslavia. Bajer Lake and Nature Park We walk around Koseze Pond and through the nearby nature park, a popular local spot for relaxation and nature. Path of Remembrance and Comradeship While walking part of this historic trail, we talk about Yugoslavia, independence, and life in Slovenia today. Return to City Centre We take the bus back to the city centre and finish in front of Hotel Lev.
