Warsaw born, licensed tour guide since 2017. Come with me and take a walk in the city! I love showing people around, as much as travelling the world myself. My hobbies revolve around music (I play guitar and drums), history, architecture and literature, among other things. I have also been working as a data analyst. At some point in my life I started to discover more and more interesting details about my surroundings. I learned the stories which shaped the world we live in today. Then, I decided to become a tour guide, in order to be able to tell other people about things I'm passionate about. Since I live in Warsaw, the city is my primary area of focus. A lot of people choose Warsaw for a quick city break, which I think, due to an excellent public transport and proximity of the airport, is a great idea. Or maybe you have a long layover in Warsaw and want to use the time to learn something about the city? I can guarantee that I'll find something to show you, even if we don't have much time. Regardless if you want to learn about the historical roots of the city, or which events are the cause of how it looks today - I am here for you. Or maybe you don't have anything specific in mind? Feel free to reach out to me and we can plan the tour according to your needs. Of course, in order to appeal to foreign tourists, on my tours I speak English. - licensed Warsaw tour guide (Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society PTTK, 2017) - certificate of proficiency in English (C2 level, CAE exam, 2016) - member of Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society I don't provide any vehicle, we will rely on public transport. I don't have a license to give tours in Royal Castle, National Musem, POLIN museum etc.

Today's Warsaw was shaped by the events of the Second World War. 80 to 90% of the city's building were demolished, and whole population killed or expelled. The reconstruction of the city after 1945 was a huge effort, required many compromises and brought a lot of controversial decisions; still, much was accomplished. Remnants of what the city was like before 1939 are a rare sight, but even where no buildings were left standing, surprisingly a lot can still be seen. No other city went through such a process. On this approximately 3 hour walk we explore what remains from Warsaw as it was between the years 1939 to 1945. This includes sites of heavy fighting during Warsaw Uprising, 1939 Siege of Warsaw, and witnesses to the Polish resistance actions in between. Depending on where you stay, or what you want to see, we can choose from plenty of possible routes and sites to see. We'll use public transport if needed.
Example itinerary: - Aleje Jerozolimskie - Warsaw Uprising Square with the Prudential building - Piłsudski square, Saxon Palace - Castle square and the Old Town Of course we can modify the itinerary depending on the needs, please contact me.
