Overview of your Warsaw tour
This tour is for people interested in history of Holocaust. Visit to the Memorial Place where former Nazi Extermination Camp was located. Hundreds of thousands of Jews were killed there during WW2 as this camp was one of the places used by the Nazi Germans during Operation Reinhardt. This was the operation of massive killing of Polish Jews living in General Government, a part of Poland occupied by Germans. Jews from Warsaw ghetto were taken to Treblinka. The is a place, closest to Warsaw, which tells the story of the Holocaust of Polish Jews. There are no barracks there. It is a rememberance place which make us think how fragile human life is and how easy it is to change from a man into a monster. Personally I find this place on one hand very depressing, on the other hand a lesson of history everyone should learn and remember.
Your Warsaw tour itinerary
We start our drive out of Warsaw to Treblinka. Driving time about 1, 5 hours as this place is about 110 km (68 miles) North East of Warsaw. On site we visit: * place where there used to be the train station * museum - here you will learn the story of this place and watch the testimony of the one of the survivors * Memorial Place which commemorates the victims The camp was demolished before the end of WW2. So during our visit you will not see the camp itself as it is no longer there. After the visit we drive back to Warsaw. If you would like to include some other stops, just let me know and I will do my best to include it into itinerary.
