Cześć! (means Hi in Polish language) My name is Anna. What I like the most in life is talking to my foreign friends and taking them around our beautiful city of Warsaw. Guiding is not only my job, but it's my way of life. I've been a certified Warsaw tour guide for the last 16 years. From the beginning of my professional life I've been working in tourism After having worked for the big international touroperators, I decided to work as a tour guide in Poland. I was born in Warsaw and I see how the city has been changing througout the years. Today I try to uncover its charm to tourists by talking about its history, telling you some funny stories about famous people, showing the most important places as well as some secluded, cosy nooks. I have visited many places on Earth. I am amazed by the wonders of nature, fascinated by different cultures and people who, although living in distant places, are so similar to each other. We all look for a beautiful view to admire, an interesting person to talk to and an exciting story to listen over a nice cup of coffee. I will do my best to give you all of these. I organize tours in Warsaw and also outside of Warsaw. Each of the offered itineraries, can be adjusted to your specific needs or personal requests. Do not hesitate to ask questions or drop some ideas you might have found on the internet or heard from your friends. I will be glad to check it out for you and add to the itinerary. If you want to build a few day program, I will be happy to do it. Come and enjoy. Before WW2 Warsaw had a big Jewish community. They suffered a lot during the hard times of the War, first being squeezed into the ghetto and then being taken away by the Nazis from their homes straight to the death camp. During this tour we take a route telling the story of Warsaw Jews so that you could feel what really happened here. It is quite challenging to talk about the city which does no longer exist. However I find it very rewarding when at the end of the tour guests are so thrilled how much they could learn of the secret story of this place. Some guests taking this tour would like to visit the place where their relatives used to live. If you have any extra places you wish to visit, I will take you there. I hope this will make this tour a unique experience for you. ** This tour is not available on Saturdays. The synagogue and cemetery are closed on this day. This tour may be extended with the 2-hour visit to POLIN Museum (Museum of the History of Polish Jews). The museum is closed on Tuesdays
On this tour we make the stops at the following places: * Nozyk synagogue - the only synagogue in Warsaw which survived WW2 * Ghetto Wall * Chłodna Street where there used to be the bridge between the small and the big ghetto * Orphanage run by Doctor Korczak * Jewish cemetery * Umschlagplazt / train station which was the starting point for thousands of Polish Jews taken from Warsaw to the Death Camp in Treblinka * Bunker in Mila Street * Monument to the Heroes of Warsaw Ghetto If you wish, we can extend this tour with the visit to the Museum of the History of the Polish Jews POLIN. In 2016, POLIN Museum won the title of the European Museum of the Year. If you wish to make some extra stops, just let me know. I will adapt the itinerary to your needs.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
For transportation between the points of interest we will use a modern, comfortable car able to accomodate up to 3 people. For a bigger party a mini-van can be arranged at additional cost.
