Discover Warsaw from a different perspective with a full-day excursion to Wrocław. Although both are Polish cities today, their histories could hardly be more different. Warsaw was the historic capital of Poland and one of the great centers of Polish political and cultural life. It was also home to one of Europe’s largest Jewish communities, creating a distinctive Polish-Jewish world. Wrocław, formerly the German city of Breslau, offers a different perspective. Shaped by Prussia and the German Empire, its Jewish community developed within German society, creating a distinctive German-Jewish culture. Together, the cities reveal fascinating layers of Central European history: Polish and German, Catholic and Jewish. After WW2, Breslau became Polish Wrocław and its German population disappeared, while Warsaw was rebuilt from the ruins of war. This journey offers a unique opportunity to explore how borders, cultures and identities changed-and how the past continues to shape these two remarkable cities.

Within each city, we’ll walk most of the time to truly experience the streets, neighborhoods, and local atmosphere. When needed, especially in Warsaw, where distances are longer, we’ll use public transportation. Please note that local travel costs are not included in the tour price. For travel between Warsaw and Wroclaw, I warmly recommend taking the fast and comfortable train. I’ll be happy to assist you with information, schedules, and tips to make that part of your journey easy and enjoyable.
