Treblinka is a village in Poland, but is known in the world as extermination and working camp. Treblinka I and Treblinka II. Here the tragedy is speechless, 900 000 people perished. But some survived giving testimony already during WW2 and as well afterward about the human cruelty. Today equally speechless is the place of memory of the past. The final solution started to be performed here on 23rd July 1942 with Jews from Warsaw. Every single stone in Treblinka speaks for one person that is gone. Wolf's Lair (German: Wolfschanze) was Adolf Hitler's first Eastern Front military headquarters in World War II. Here Adolf Hitler spent nearly 3 years. Here final solution was discussed. Here Hitler got to know about the Jewish Uprising in Warsaw. Here Hitler got to know about Warsaw Uprising. A couple of days before Hitler was visited by Claus von Stauffenberg.
We had a really good tour with Marta. Short drive and very informative tour of Treblinka. Long drive with difficult traffic conditions to Wolf’s Lair and it was a fun drive. Marta did not shy away from any of our questions and answered each without attitude…even some difficult morality questions about the role Poland played during WWII. Well done!!! Marta is fantastic! We had a wonderful day together. This particular tour lasts 11 hours but absolutely worth it. My daughter and I agreed… the tour was fantastic because of Marta and the time flew by because of her and her positive energy. She answered all our questions and was enthusiastic for the entire day. Wolf’s Lair and Treblinka are worth it for the historical experiences. I would book again with Marta without hesitation!
My adult daughter and I booked this tour with Marta as she had such excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. Marta is an excellent guide. She has an in-depth knowledge about both sites. We arrived at Treblinka early in the morning and were the only people there. For me, Marta's sensitive but informed commentary helped to make visiting Treblinka a very moving experience. If you are thinking about going on a personalised tour I would recommend Marta for friendly but professional manner.

Marta was an amazing guide. This was a long day tour. Marta is so knowledgable about the places we visited. Treblinka left such an impression on us and with Marta explaining everything to us as we walked through this memorial, it was so moving through all the sadness of this place. We also visited Wolfschanze which was also another historic area. Marta has such respect for the history of her country and explains in detail so much information. Suggested itinerary: - Death camp and labour camp in Treblinka - Treblinka I and Terblinka II. These days the area is a Museum of of Struggle and Martyrdom in Treblinka and only imagination and a good history teller will awake the horror of death machinery that existed here in 1942-1943 and the horror of slavery work in 1941-1944. - The death camp was one of camps that fulfilled the idea of Endlosung - the final solution, that was discussed as well in Adolf Hitler's quarter in Wolfschanze. This hidden place was very well fortified shelter of Hitler, where he was visited by Mussolini and as well on famous 20 July 1944 Claus von Stauffenberg tried to kill Adolf Hitler. - We visit both of them Treblinka with Wolfschanze. - It is possible to have typical Polish meal on the way.
