Cześć! (means Hi in Polish language) My name is Anna. What I like the most in life is talking to my foreign friends and taking them around our beautiful city of Warsaw. Guiding is not only my job, but it's my way of life. I've been a certified Warsaw tour guide for the last 16 years. From the beginning of my professional life I've been working in tourism After having worked for the big international touroperators, I decided to work as a tour guide in Poland. I was born in Warsaw and I see how the city has been changing througout the years. Today I try to uncover its charm to tourists by talking about its history, telling you some funny stories about famous people, showing the most important places as well as some secluded, cosy nooks. I have visited many places on Earth. I am amazed by the wonders of nature, fascinated by different cultures and people who, although living in distant places, are so similar to each other. We all look for a beautiful view to admire, an interesting person to talk to and an exciting story to listen over a nice cup of coffee. I will do my best to give you all of these. I organize tours in Warsaw and also outside of Warsaw. Each of the offered itineraries, can be adjusted to your specific needs or personal requests. Do not hesitate to ask questions or drop some ideas you might have found on the internet or heard from your friends. I will be glad to check it out for you and add to the itinerary. If you want to build a few day program, I will be happy to do it. Come and enjoy. This tour is often chosen by the guests because it includes the most important spots of the city, which should never be missed when you come to Warsaw. On this tour: * You will be enchanted by the beauty of Lazienki Park. * You will love the story of short but amazing life of Frederic Chopin, whose Warsaw paths we follow when we proceed with the tour. * You will be thrilled by the stories of Warsaw 2 Uprisings (Uprising in the Jewish Ghetto 1943 & Warsaw Uprising 1944). When taking this tour we cannot miss the Palace of Culture & Science - Russian style building, located in the very center of the city. This will direct us to talks a little bit about the communism times in Poland. This tour gives you a good look inside not only Polish history and customs, but also our contemporary life in the city. I wouldn't be myself if I also didn't let you try some traditional Polish sweets (not included in the tour price). I will be happy to give you recommendations for places worth visiting on your free time.
We start our tour with the stroll in the Royal Garden of Lazienki to see: * Monument of Frideric Chopin * Palace on Isle (former summer residence of one of the Polish kings) Then we continue our tour and stop to see the following places of interest: * Building of Polish Parliament * Palace of Culture & Science * former Jewish Ghetto area with the Monument to Heroes of Uprising in Jewish Ghetto 1943 * Warsaw Opera House * Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Finally we take a walk along Royal Route and Old Town to see: - Church of St. Cross where the heart of F. Chopin is kept (Aren't you interested why the heart of the famous Polish composer is kept in a different place than the rest of his body?) - Warsaw University - Presidential Palace - Royal Castle - Column of King Sigismund 3rd - St. John's Cathedral - Warsaw Mermaid Statue - Old Town Main Square - House where Madame Curie was born (Polish scientist/Noble prize winner) If you wish to make any changes I can ajust the itinerary to your needs.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
