Cześć! (means Hi in Polish language) My name is Anna. What I like the most in life is talking to my foreign friends and taking them around our beautiful city of Warsaw. Guiding is not only my job, but it's my way of life. I've been a certified Warsaw tour guide for the last 16 years. From the beginning of my professional life I've been working in tourism After having worked for the big international touroperators, I decided to work as a tour guide in Poland. I was born in Warsaw and I see how the city has been changing througout the years. Today I try to uncover its charm to tourists by talking about its history, telling you some funny stories about famous people, showing the most important places as well as some secluded, cosy nooks. I have visited many places on Earth. I am amazed by the wonders of nature, fascinated by different cultures and people who, although living in distant places, are so similar to each other. We all look for a beautiful view to admire, an interesting person to talk to and an exciting story to listen over a nice cup of coffee. I will do my best to give you all of these. I organize tours in Warsaw and also outside of Warsaw. Each of the offered itineraries, can be adjusted to your specific needs or personal requests. Do not hesitate to ask questions or drop some ideas you might have found on the internet or heard from your friends. I will be glad to check it out for you and add to the itinerary. If you want to build a few day program, I will be happy to do it. Come and enjoy. If you don't feel like spending hours on sightseeing but you wish to see quickly just the most important historical places and get to know more about them, this tour is for you. I will take you through the streets of the Old Town and Royal Route. It will be a quick glimpse at the city which will help you to get the idea about the spirit of this extraordinary place. The route we follow is a must for every visitor. As you go there anyway, it is good to know the most important information. On the way, you will: - learn about the history of Warsaw - see places connected with well known Poles like F. Chopin, Madame Curie and John Paul 2 - listen to Chopin music which is easily available in the streets Chopin used to go every day when he lived in Warsaw - have the possibility of trying one of my favourite Polish pastries (not included in the tour price) - get the recommendation of the places worth visiting which you can explore on your own after the tour finishes
I point out for you the most famous spots, a must to see when you come to town. * we start the tour at Copernicus Monument (Copernicus - the most famous Polish astronomer who "stopped the Sun and moved the Earth") * short visit to the Church of St. Cross where the heart of F. Chopin is kept (Aren't you interested why the heart of the famous Polish composer is kept in a different place than the rest of his body?) * we continue the walk along Royal Route passing by: - Warsaw University - the oldest hotels in Warsaw - Presidential Palace - Tomb of Unknown Soldier - Opera House - Royal Castle - Column of King Sigismund 3rd Then we go inside the Old Town to see: - St. John's Cathedral - Warsaw Mermaid Statue - Old Town Main Square - House where Madame Curie was born (Polish scientist/Noble prize winner) - Monument to Warsaw Uprising 1944 As you can see, even though it is a short walk you will see a lot of spots. If you wish to make any changes, I will be happy to ajust the itinerary to your interests.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
We will use the public transport depending on guest's accommodation place. If the hotel is situated in the city center, close to Old Town, no transportation needed.
