Hello! My name is Jola. I live in Warsaw and I am fascinated with this place. That's why, some 20 years ago, I decided to study Warsaw history, architecture, culture, etc. to become a fully-qualified city guide. Some time ago, after years spent in international corporations, I gave it up and became a full-time tour guide. I've also engaged, as a volunteer, in documenting architectural details of old tenement houses in Warsaw and regular cleaning works on the historical Jewish cemetery. I love traveling, meeting new people, discovering different cultures and traditions. I am easy going and energetic person, passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with other people. I always try to make my guests feel like they're spending time with a friend. I'm eager to share with you my passion for Warsaw. I'd like to tell you the story of the rich, elegant city which almost disappeared from the Earth during WW2, but then was reborn like the Phoenix , the city formed by the communists in accordance with their ideology, the city that changed completely its face after 1989. I'd like to follow with you the traces of Frederic Chopin, Maria Curie, Icchak Singer, admire beautiful royal residences: Wilanow and Lazienki, and visit the places perfect for taking a deep breath and relax. You may find inspiration for a tour in one of my descriptions. If you have your own suggestions, contact me directly - we together will work out the best plan based on your interests and expectations. I will be happy to host you in Warsaw as your personal tour guide. Come over and be my guest! * Warsaw tour guide - governmental license, 2003 * Tour leader - governmental license, 2005 * POLIN Museum of the History of the Polish Jews - licensed guide * Frideric Chopin museum - licensed guide * Certificates of English language knowledge Important: I'm fully VACCINATED against COVID-19. My car (Opel Zafira) can fit up to 6 people. Please inquire for larger groups.

Do you have a layover in Warsaw? Why not take the chance for a quick journey through the Polish-Jewish world? I'm a guide in the Museum of the History of Polish Jews and know how to make the best use of a short time. You will be picked up from the airport and taken directly to the most important spots related to the history of the Polish Jews living in Warsaw, especially to the tragedy of the Holocaust. You will see several remnants of the ghetto, where the Nazis gathered 450. 000 Jews. Most people today know about hunger, diseases and terrible living conditions there but have you heard about theatres in the ghetto? About the underground archive? About secret religious studies? I will tell you these stories. We will also visit the sites connected with the Great Deportation in 1942 and the Ghetto Uprising broken in April 1943. You will see the Uprising monuments and other places commemorating the victims and the fighters. PLEASE NOTE: tour time includes airport transfer.
This is a suggested agenda, let me know how much time you have and what you want to see, and I will customize the tour accordingly. - Picking up from the airport, driving to the city center - ca. 1 h (depending on the traffic) - Original fragments of the ghetto wall with inscriptions and memorial plaques - 30 min - Symbolical neon bridge over two parts of the ghetto commemorating the famous footbridge on Chlodna street - 15 min - The building of the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews (outside) and the Monument of Ghetto Heroes - 15 min - Memorial Route of the Martyrdom and Struggle with Anielewicz Mound at Mila 18 (the bunker where the last Uprising commander lost his life) and Umshlagplatz (place of deportation to Treblinka extermination camp) - 1 h - Driving back to the airport - ca. 1 h PLEASE NOTE: If you have more time, I recommend visiting the Jewish Cemetery (founded in 1806, still open, absolutely unique place), the Nozyk synagogue, and so on. Please email me for details.
