Cześć! (means Hi in Polish language) My name is Anna. What I like the most in life is talking to my foreign friends and taking them around our beautiful city of Warsaw. Guiding is not only my job, but it's my way of life. I've been a certified Warsaw tour guide for the last 16 years. From the beginning of my professional life I've been working in tourism After having worked for the big international touroperators, I decided to work as a tour guide in Poland. I was born in Warsaw and I see how the city has been changing througout the years. Today I try to uncover its charm to tourists by talking about its history, telling you some funny stories about famous people, showing the most important places as well as some secluded, cosy nooks. I have visited many places on Earth. I am amazed by the wonders of nature, fascinated by different cultures and people who, although living in distant places, are so similar to each other. We all look for a beautiful view to admire, an interesting person to talk to and an exciting story to listen over a nice cup of coffee. I will do my best to give you all of these. I organize tours in Warsaw and also outside of Warsaw. Each of the offered itineraries, can be adjusted to your specific needs or personal requests. Do not hesitate to ask questions or drop some ideas you might have found on the internet or heard from your friends. I will be glad to check it out for you and add to the itinerary. If you want to build a few day program, I will be happy to do it. Come and enjoy. Warsaw is my place on Earth, so whether I want it or not, I show it to guests my way. We cannot miss all the most important sights which are visited by the tourists. But on this tour, I will also take you to places which I like most in the city. We will go to the right bank of the river, which was not demolished during World War 2 and still keeps the spirit of the pre-war city. I will also take you to the district where I live, which is called Wola. It used to be an industrial part of the city. Right now it changes into a modern city area with the skyscrapers. Over there it is easy to catch old and modern on one photo which makes this place really unique. As this area changes so quickly my Mum sometimes says that she is afraid to go for shopping, because she is not sure if she finds the way back home. But don't worry, I will not lose my way. You will also have a chance to taste a real Warsaw foodie (not included in the tour price). Nothing posh, not a tourist place, but always full of locals.
* We start our tour with the stroll in the Royal Garden of Lazienki to follow the paths of the glorious days of Polish monarchy. * We continue our drive to see Polish Parliament & National Stadium * Crossing Vistula river we drive the "worse" bank of the river which once was a home for the out-of-laws and today changes into one of the most up to date addresses in town. We stop at properties which used to be industrial factories and lately have been changed into shopping & restaurants areas * We drive to the former Jewish district to tell you a story of the Warsaw Jews during World War 2. * We drive to the area which used to be an industrial district and right now it changes into a modern, office park * Finally we arrive to the historical part of the city where we take a stroll passing by: - Opera House - Tomb of the Unknown Soldier - Church of St. Cross where Chopin's heart is kept - Presidential Palace - Royal Castle - Mermaid Monument - House where Madame Curie was born - Monument to Warsaw Uprising 1944
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
We will walk a lot during this tour. However there will be also some driving to move between the main points of interests. For transfers we will use a modern, comfortable car able to accomodate up to 3 people. For a bigger party a mini-van can be arranged at additional cost.
