Walk around Auckland with a Private Guide

Maori called Auckland Tāmaki Makaurau meaning Isthmus of One Thousand Lovers, and I want you to find out why. Walk on the land where terrific battles, reclamation and excavation have all left their scars on our beautiful city. We weave our way through narrow streets, enter buildings to see the architecture and design features. Explore Takutai Square, unique urban space and the Britomart Precinct. See the remaining Kauri (wood) bricks which were discovered during the restoration and have been preserved. This area is a careful, beautiful development with open spaces, retail, & dining and every art piece has an interesting story.
Venture further to Albert Park and Toi o Tāmaki, Auckland Art Gallery. I will show you my old shop, where my kids played on the streets and how the area has become so trendy!
Wander back streets to the waterfront and Wynyard Quarter exploring the newly developed and restored harbour front as we make our way back to Queen Street crossing the Te Wero drawbridge.

Hobbiton Movie Set is a major tourist attraction so let's personalise it so you get your own experience. Hobbiton is situated on a private farm in one of our most beautiful rural areas and close to my home town. Both your guide and myself will be able to provide history, stories and fun as you enjoy a day in Middle Earth
Following the filming of Lord of the Rings the movie set was dismantled leaving only a few holes. With the filming of The Hobbit it was agreed to build a permanent Hobbiton village and this is what you see today - 44 Hobbit houses, gardens and pathways, trees, lakes, the Green Dragon, the Water Mill and the double arched bridge. See Bilbo's house, learn the tricks of movie making, and hear beautiful stories of Gandalf, Frodo and more from your expert Hobbiton guide.
Even if you have not seen the movies you will still love Hobbiton.
Your group of 4 people will join a tour of Hobbiton and enjoy a banquet lunch in the marquee after your tour.

There is so much more to Auckland than what you see at first. Let's delve into Auckland a little more deeply and explore a lively community art scene just waiting to be discovered. Many historic buildings have been restored and repurposed as community art venues with cafes, exhibitions, gardens and creative spaces often with artists at work.
As we travel to the north, west and south you will get a great overview of Auckland with its many volcanoes, expansive waters and views. The fascinating history and stories link each of the areas together and combined with art and creativity this makes for a rewarding day out.
We will focus on three art centres in three different areas of the city. Spend time enjoying the local art scene, the history of the area and the gardens surrounding the galleries.
Enjoy morning coffee at the first stop and lunch at the second. All food is freshly baked on site and this is truly a great way to experience the local flavours with a good coffee.
