Welcome to Oaxaca! I was born and raised in the Central Valleys, where I still live in one of the many Indigenous communities that make this region so unique. As a proud Zapotec, I enjoy sharing not only my own heritage but also the traditions, history, and living cultures of Oaxaca's sixteen Indigenous peoples. After many years in education as a teacher and academic leader, I realized my favorite classroom had always been Oaxaca itself.
