CITY OF OAXACA WALKING TOUR

This tour really lets you experience the rhythm and feeling of the city. It is not only the monuments that are beautiful but the human ambience that the city conveys. Most of the ancient city is build with the so called "Cantera Verde", a greenish stone of volcanic origin that reflect wonderfully the ambiance light making Oaxaca a very luminous city. Strolling around in the city center you will enjoy the colors, the colonial architecture and the history of this magnificent place. The tour starts normally at the Cultural Center of Santo Domingo where we do visit the Church (if open) and then we continue on foot through the "Andador Turístico" (the pedestrian zone of Oaxaca) past the House of Cortes and then the City Center with the Cathedral. Next place it the market where we finish our tour NB. Mondays the Culture Museum is closed. We will try an other one in this case. Better chose an other day for this tour.
