My name is Tomas A licensed tour guide by the federal government of the country of Mexico with a background of being a native Zapotec from the state of Oaxaca. I started as a tour guide in 2010 in Bahias de Huatulco, located in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico right of the coastline of the Pacific ocean. I have spent the last five years scouting and creating unique experiences in the heart of Huatulco to ensure that your trip will be unforgettable. My experiences promote educational, cultural, rural and sustainable tourism as well as generate economic opportunity for the people of the region in which I work. My outings are not tours in the traditional sense but rather a day with a unique experience on the beach, waterfalls, turtle sanctuary or in the rural community. I offer to my clients an insider's view of Oaxaca, as a native Zapotec from Teotitlan del Valle who is also a certified professional tour guide. I combine my knowledge of history, culture and local communities with a deep respect for my Zapotec heritage and traditions. I bring to my clients closer to the real Oaxaca and I love sharing my personal perspective with them on trips through Bahias de Huatulco and local destinations in the cost line of Oaxaca state and in the central valley. Federal authorized Guide License license plates and I have a federal driver's license General knowledge of the Zapotec language First Aid Training None

Get further off the beaten track and go deeper into Zapotec history at exceptional, yet lesser-visited, archaeological sites in the Tlacolula area: Yagul, Lambityeco, and Dainzu. We’ll also visit the women makers of traditional red pottery at San Marcos Tlapazola. Yagul is an important site because in its surroundings rock shelters have been found with vestiges of cave paintings from nomadic groups, probably gatherers and hunters who were the first settlers in the Oaxaca Valley. You will visit Dainzú archeological site, this place was very important because the pre-Hispanic settlement occupied it as a ceremonial civic center and possibly Danush Hill itself served as a sacred space. San Marcos Tlapazola is a small rural community that is dedicated to the production of clay. The clay of this town is particular due to its terracotta style with different intensities of red color. In this place you will visit a red clay craft workshop, you will see the process of making different crafts with red clay.
Pick up at your hotel Transfer to the Yagul archaeological site We have time to walk and see the site, its importance is also characterized because it is one of the sites where the original flora and fauna can still be observed.
