Overview of your Rome tour
I decided to offer this tour to give my guests the opportunity to better appreciate the Christian face of Rome visiting two of the Major Papal Basilicas: St. John in Lateran and St Mary Major. The tour starts visiting St Mary Major's Basilica with its beautiful XIII century mosaics and one of the holiest icon of the Virgin Mary. The tour ends visiting St. John in Lateran Complex, the cathedral church, official ecclesiastical seat of the Bishop of Rome, the Baptistery, with its beautiful decorations and the Scala Sancta (Holy Stairs) and Sancta Sanctorum, the early original private chapel of the Popes. Even if you are not Christian, I'm sure you will love the masterpieces and stories behind this beautiful Papal Basilicas.
