The Last Supper is one of the reasons to add Milan to your bucket list. In 2019 the entire world celebrated the 500th Death Anniversary of the Renaissance Master, Leonardo Da Vinci, who lived in Milan for many years and worked in the service of Ludovico il Moro Sforza. During the tour, we will explore various aspects of Leonardo's art and that of his students, including drawing techniques introduced in Milan and his engineering, architecture, and science. We will also see the famous cartoon by Raphael, "The School of Athens", kept at the Ambrosiana Art Gallery, together with the so-called "Codex Atlanticus", a compendium of Da Vinci's notes on his studies. Michaela was absolutely wonderful. Her communication in advance of the tour was so proactive and helpful - so was so prepared and helped me to be ready and to know what to bring. During the tour - she was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and was able to accomodate us (an older couple) who got tired walking and we so appreciated this! The tour was all we had hoped and more - we highly recommend her!
Michaela met us at the set point on time. The tour began with a little history of Milan to set the time in history for the tour. She was very clear and informative. She pointed out few things in paintings that we didn't know or noticed before from previous trips. She also pointed architectural details of buildings for the time. I can say 100% we got what we needed for Milan. Later she pointed us on our way to other things we were interested in. This is my 9th. Tour by Locals and will do again.

-The tour starts at Pinacoteca Ambrosiana. It takes 1hrs 30 mins. -After a 15 mins walk we get the Church of Saint Maurizio, a small but breathtaking church. -Next is the Last Supper.
