Ciao a tutti! I am Marilena and I have been a licensed guide in Milan and its Province since 2009. I speak fluentl English and of course, Italian! A strong passion for art and beauty conquered me since I was a teenager. After my University studies, I became a museum educator in the Brera Picture Gallery and, after obtaining my Tour Guide License, I continued to accompany nice school groups around the wonderful city of Milan, which I love to talk about! I truly love walking around the city and showing both adults and children its monuments and temples, telling their stories which have made this city great. When it comes to Milanese art collections, I love to focus on the smallest details in the paintings, which I hope to have the pleasure of describing to you. I love working with small groups, as well as with families with children, who allow me to engage in a very special dialogue to discover the city. I guarantee I'll be able to organize a special itinerary for you to get to know the city in the shadow of the Madonnina! I'll wait for you in Milan! Credentials: Degree in Cultural Heritage Sciences Master's Degree in Art History and Criticism 2019-2024 Higher education and specialized studies in Religious Tourism Member of GITEC Guide Italiane Turismo e Cultura Even if my calendar shows no availability, feel free to get in touch. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver. Just to clarify, I only arrange hotel pick-up and drop-off through the driver. I will meet you at the meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

On this tour, your eyes will get no rest from an exuberance of beauty. From Palazzo Marino, (the city’s town hall), to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and the Duomo, the symbol of the city of Milan! We’ll also explore a district which remains the heart of the city’s artistic culture since the XVIII century, and pass by many captivating places such as the famous Camparino and the Marchesi pastry shop, as well as many trendy restaurants. We’ll discuss many things from past and present, including a church that no longer exists and which gave its name to the most important Opera House in the world. We’ll also talk about Leonardo da Vinci, a military engineer, painter, sculptor and even musician who although was Tuscan by birth, became Milanese by adoption. We’ll even see the castle where Leonardo lived at the court of Ludovico Maria Sforza and where Michelangelo's last work, the Pietà Rondanini, is stored. Besides this, you can also opt to shop the most famous brands in the fashion capital of the world.
•We’ll begin this tour by visiting the interior of the Duomo, admiring the 52 pillars, the 55 stained glass windows and its wonderful polychrome floors. •Then it's on to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a meeting place not only for the Milanese but also for tourists from all over the world. •Next we'll head to Piazza della Scala, where the monument to Leonardo and La Scala Opera House are located. •What follows will be The Brera district, a silent neighbourhood frozen in time with narrow, pedestrian paths that enclose the Palazzo di Brera, which hosts the Brera Picture Gallery, the Botanical Gallery and he Academy of Fine Arts. •Finally, we'll marvel at Castello Sforzesco, a stronghold built under the Visconti where every brick has a story to tell. The itinerary can be customized according to your requests.
