Hello! My name is Veronica, I am a licensed guide graduated in History of Art in Milan. As a student I started to know better the city and its beauty: I especially love to discover something new and hidden off the beaten path. After university I decided to become a licensed full-time guide to share my passion, my experience and knowledge of history, art, culture, tradition and local "milanese" habits. A relaxed full day trip to the gorgeous lake Como, to discover some of its best and picturesque gems. We will start from Milan and arrive to Varenna, the most picturesque town on lake, to see the colorful houses, the view of the mountains and the 'walk of the lovers' along the lake. Then we will take a boat to go to Bellagio, the elegant town full of amazing gardens and palaces, to enjoy lunch and local shopping. A ferry back to Varenna and at the end we will come back to Milan. Opportunity to start from Como if time allows and only by private car, to discover its history and culture through a walk in the historical center, visiting the beautiful Duomo cathedral and town hall, narrow ancient lanes, old city walls, elegant residences and breathtaking path on the lake. This tour can be arranged according to your requests, using public transport (train and ferry) or private (driver). Transportation cost is NOT included in the price (car,train,ferry,boat)
We lucked out as the day before there were thunderstorms. Veronica gave us the option visiting Varenna and Belaggio vs. the larger city of Como. We chose the small towns and were glad we did. Veronica let us proceed our own pace. She made lunch reservations at a lovely uncrowded restaurant. Valentina did a good job of driving through some narrow streets.
We cannot say enough about Veronica! Her knowledge of the lake district sites and culture was only surpassed by her warmth, kindness and consideration! Navigating through the winding alleys of Como, Bellagio and Varenna at the height of the tourist season is challenging, making you feel like you are the only ones there is a miracle! Can't recommend her enough!
Veronica was fantastic! Knowledgeable, easy going and full of great tips. We can’t imagine spending a day touring Lake Como with anyone else! We opted to use her private driver and I highly recommend you do the same. We had incredible flexibility and saw so much more in one day than would be possible by train/boat.
Veronica was an amazing guide and very flexible and even allowed us and helped us to see and participate in things we saw unexpectedly; very spontaneous and made time to allow us to explore our interests. Very Sweet and Patient!
Veronica was an excellent guide. She arranged private Mercedes van for transportation. This allowed us more flexibility given our tight schedule to catch our train to Bologna later that day. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We had a great time!!
