Welcome! My name is Catia. I'm of Venetian origins, but have been a resident in Milan for many...
Itinerary not perfect? Message Catia T. to build a tour that’s just right for you.
On this tour, we'll admire Milan's Duomo from the inside, as I contextualize you about the cathedral's original project & the extraordinary heritage of its art, which encompasses 3400 statues, 150 gargoyles & 55 stained glass windows! We'll also visit one of the world's most famous Opera Houses & explore a gallery called the "Milanese living room", passing by historical cafes & restaurants. In addition to this, we'll explore an artistic district with bustling pedestrian streets full of unique spaces to uncover, as well as the Sforza Castle's courtyards. I'll share the Castle's history with you, explaining how it went from being a defensive fortress to the Ducal residential and military barracks. Today the Castle hosts many public museums too, so contact me before booking if you'd like to visit any! Note: In museums, archaeological sites, and generally in all churches, the dress code for both men & women requires shoulders & knees to be covered. Shorts & skirts are fine, but they should be below the knees.
·We'll start our tour with a visit inside the Duomo, Milan's cathedral which has over six centuries of history. ·Afterwards, we'll walk through the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery. ·Later, we'll stop by the square where La Scala Opera House, also known as The Temple of Lyrics, is located. ·We'll then stroll through Via Verdi until we arrive in Brera district, the artists' quarter. ·Exploring Brera we'll be able to make stops to enjoy an aperitif or discover countless ateliers, shops & artisan hubs. ·We'll finally end at the marvellous Sforza Castle and visit its courtyards. -Note: If you'd like to add Leonardo's Last Supper or the Duomo Terraces, we can extend the tour for around half an hour more and shall get tickets in advance, so please contact me so I can provide you with a customized tour! The itinerary can be personalized according to your needs and requests. Note: Do not bring large items (e. g. large bags, backpacks, long umbrellas…) on tour because they're not permitted for security reasons.

Since this is a walking tour, I suggest bringing a bottle of water and wearing comfortable shoes. If you book during the summer, be sure not to forget a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses. If you book during the winter, be sure not to forget a raincoat or small umbrella in case it rains. Note: on request, with an extra price, transportation to and from the hotel is available, but it should be reserved in advance so contact me if you want to include this in the tour and I'll customize it for you.
