Hello everybody, I'm Valentina and I have been working as a tour guide in Milan since 2009, leading tours in English, Spanish and Italian. I'm a true local, I was born and have always lived in Milan, the hometown of my grandparents as well - they all spoke dialect. I consider myself a lucky woman because I have a wonderful family and the smartest job in the world, the only one giving me the opportunity to make the most of what I like best: art, foreign languages and my hometown. My wish has always been that of introducing travellers to the beauties of Milan, a city too often cut down to a center of business, finance and fashion; of course it is but what else? Well Milan also means art, culture, history, traditions, a tasty Cuisine and fabulous happy hours. For sure you will enjoy the "not to be missed": the awesome Duomo, the glazed Galleria, the mighty Sforzesco Castle and the world famous La Scala theater but Milan is also the Navigli, Romantic canals flanked by picturesque cafeterias and trattorias, old trolleys driving you back to the thirties, secret courtyards and tiny squares and, why not, good shopping even out of the most stepped off streets. My city is so multifaceted that many middle-aged locals feel a clash between the traditional and the new Milan; on the contrary, I do love this contrast, because it precisely reflects the double soul of my city: Milan was a Roman major city, a leading Renaissance Duchy at the time of Leonardo Da Vinci and the most contemporary and cosmopolitan city in Italy, with the tallest "Manhattan style" towers. And what's more I think my job is an exciting occasion to welcome foreign people from all over the world and get to know their culture, way of living and points of view. Gradually in the latest years I have realized I have learnt so much by meeting so many different people and I mean especially from a human point of view. So contact me and I will be glad to show you around my beloved city in the best and friendliest possible way, tailoring your tour to your interests, needs and expectations. See you in Milan! Licensed Tour Guide since 2009 Degree in foreign languages and literatures (English and Spanish) - Catholic University of Milan C1 Advanced Cambridge English Certification DELE C1 (Advanced Spanish Certification by Instituto Cervantes) Member of GITEC (Guide Italiane Turismo e Cultura) If my calendar seems full, don’t hesitate to contact me anyway. I may still be able to accommodate you. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver. Please note that I provide pick-up and drop-off at the hotel only through the driver. I will meet you directly at the designated meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

Overview of your Milan tour

You will discover the best-known attractions of the city center: after admiring the stunning Cathedral with its square, we will cross the wonderful glazed Galleria, one of the oldest and most elegant shopping malls. We will reach La Scala Opera House with its nice square, dominated by the famous monument of Leonardo da Vinci. Then we can choose two different itineraries: either we stroll around the lanes of Brera, a once bohemian district, now renowned for its art galleries by day and picturesque restaurants and fortune-tellers by night, the Brera Painting Gallery and the Academy of fine Arts. Or we can visit the Merchants' square, a pretty medieval corner of Milan and get to the business square of Milan with the provoking, enormous "Middle finger", just in front of the imposing Italian Stock Exchange. We will conclude the visit with the Sforza Castle, with its nice courtyards and a view to the Sempione Park, the largest in Milan.

No one should go to Milan without taking the time to experience this tour. Obviously the attractions such as the Cuomo and its terraces , La Scala and the Galleria merit comment as they are truly beautiful and awe inspiring. However, Valentina, with her wealth of knowledge and delightful personality, made visiting these sights even more interesting and enjoyable. We highly recommend both Valentina and this particular tour!

Valentina is outstanding. She has tremendous knowledge, experience and passion for Milan. We spent a little more than a half day touring Milan with a focus on the Duomo. Her ability to clearly communicate and to have answers at the ready to your questions is exceptional. She made for a great and memorable day in Milan which we will always remember.

Valentina was a wonderful guide. She was flexible and patient (a group of 8 adults and 1 baby). Everyone commented on how knowledgeable and enjoyable she was.

It was a joy to meet and tour with Valentina. With lived experience based wisdom, and scholastic-academic and professional knowledge, she provided an exceptional, enjoyable, and relaxing experience for my first visit to Milan. In addition to the "must-see" areas and all-important facts, Valentina generously shared with me her personal experiences and associated stories of locals and self, which further amplified and deepened my sense of her home city. Her honor of Milan inspired the same in me. Fantastic.

Your Milan tour itinerary

•The Duomo (inside) •Gallery Victor Emanuel II •La Scala Opera House (outside) •Brera District or Piazza Affari •Sforza Castle (outside) •Sempione Park I can customize this tour according to your wishes, we can add a visit inside the Scala or the Terraces of the Duomo, please contact me and I will be happy to customize the tour. Do you want to add the Last Supper? Please contact me to include this masterpiece of Leonardo! In the museums, in the archaeological sites, and in general in all the churches dress code for both men and women requires shoulders and knees to be covered. Shorts and skirts are fine, but below knees. Do not bring large items (e. g. large bags, backpacks, long umbrellas…) on tour because they are not permitted.
