Tortellini and Tagliatelle Cooking Class

Legend has it that tagliatelle, those delicate strips of pasta about half an inch wide, were created by Mastro Zafirano to celebrate the marriage of Lucrezia Borgia to the Duke of Ferrara. Inspired by the bride's beautiful blonde hair, he crafted this romantic shape of pasta. Isn't that charming? Another tale claims that tortellini were shaped to resemble the bellybutton of a beautiful woman traveling between Bologna and Modena. How delightful and juicy! While these exotic legends add a touch of mystery to our fresh pasta, one thing is certain: in Bologna, you’ll never find Spaghetti Bolognese. Curious to know why? After picking you up at the meeting point (your hotel or my suggested MP) we will walk to the location where the cooking class will take place. During the class you will be guided by a professional chef in the creation of 2 or 3 types of fresh pasta traditionally from Bologna (i. e. tortellini, tortelloni, tagliatelle. . . ) During the class, you will learn: - The history of Emilia Romagna fresh, egg-based pasta - Techniques for mixing the flour into the egg - Preparation of traditional pasta sauces - Preparation of pasta traditional filling - Rolling the dough - Creation of traditional pasta shapes After "getting our hands dirty" (litterally!) we will reward ourselves by tasting our creations, with a nice glass of wine to wash it down If you need to book a tour for MORE THAN 6 PEOPLE PLEASE DIRECT MESSAGE ME.
