Welcoming, friendly and smiley: Ciao! I’m an enthusiastic tour guide who's in love with my job and my town. I have had five great passions all along my life: art history, pasta, vintage style, theatre and cats. Born and raised in a village on the hills of Romagna, surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, I grew immersed in history thanks to the amazing Renaissance style buildings and Medieval fortifications that have always accompanied me through time. Naturally, I graduated in Art History and became a professional tour guide, passionate about the artistic heritage and the food traditions of my home land. After spending many years abroad in UK and France, it's already been ten years since that I've been living in the medieval heart of Bologna, a town that surprises me every day for the extraordinary richness of its artistic and culinary masterpieces that I'd love to show you! Even if my calendar shows no availability, feel free to get in touch. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver. Just to clarify, I only arrange hotel pick-up and drop-off through the driver. I will meet you at the meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

Bologna is a city that surprises guests with its authenticity & vibrancy. With me, you’ll discover the must-see places in Bologna and many intriguing curiosities that will allow you to fully enjoy your stay in the Red, Learned, Towered and Fat town! In this urban exploration, we'll venture into Bologna's history & art by through landmarks such as the iconic Fountain of Neptune, a 16th-century masterpiece, the iconic Two Towers: Asinelli and Garisenda, and the Archiginnasio Palace. This Palace was the first building to host the University of Bologna, the oldest university in Europe! But we'll go even further into the past, all the way back to the Middle Ages by visiting Bologna's largest church, dedicated to the city's patron saint. Since this is a walking tour, I suggest bringing a bottle of water & comfortable shoes. If you book this tour during the summer, be sure to bring a hat, sunscreen & sunglasses. If you book for winter, bringing a raincoat or small umbrella is always good in case it rains.
-After meeting by Piazza del Nettuno, we'll walk a couple of metres and reach Piazza Maggiore. -Afterwards, we'll step into the Basilica of San Petronio. -Next, we'll step into the courtyard of the Archiginnasio Palace, which features the palace's marvelous painted coats of arms. -Later, we'll stroll through the medieval alleys of the Mercato di Mezzo. -What follows will be Piazza Santo Stefano, one of Bologna's most enchanting squares. -At last, we'll pass by the Palazzo della Mercanzia, marvelling at its facade, before reaching the Two Towers, the city's symbols. This itinerary can be customized.
