Hallo everyone! My name is Marta and I have been working as a tour guide for the last 7 years, after extended professional activity in languages and literature. I was born in the wonderful region of Umbria, but my curiosity and desire of continuous movement pushed me to Emilia Romagna, which has long become my home of choice. I feel privileged now because I do a job that allows me to meet people from different backgrounds, to spend time with them and to share the love for my territory with them. If you want to visit enchanting places, join me: I will unveil fascinating spots of Bologna and Ravenna for you, which often remain hidden to most visitors. I will guide you through places and experiences that will make your visit unforgettable: Getting lost in the streets of the ghetto, savoring the specialties in the lively and picturesque streets of the Quadrilatero, admiring the frescoes of the small Bolognese "Sistine Chapel", being amazed in front of the mosaics of Ravenna and more. Please note that our tour can be designed by you: You can indeed adjust it to your own needs and interests, defining its duration and giving it the focus you prefer (artistic, culinary or experience-driven). I am looking forward to meeting you! Licensed Tour Guide from the Emilia Romagna region. Licensed tour leader. BA in Foreign Languages and Literatures (German and English). I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

"La grassa", or "the fat one": It is no coincidence that one of the nicknames by which Bologna is known throughout the world refers to its close relationship with food. Every alleyway of the ancient Mercato di Mezzo, which we are going to explore in this tour, is bursting with delicious food! These lively alleyways are treasure troves for anyone looking to experience the city in its traditional ways. Join me and you'll have the chance to discover the artistic beauties of the city center and, at the same time, savor the culinary delights that have made Bologna famous in the whole wide world: mortadella, tortellini, lasagne, tagliatelle and Bolognese, the most famous sauce on earth. During our tour, we will sample some local specialties in the picturesque alleys of Mercato di Mezzo, as well as discover the highlights of this amazing city. I am looking forward to sharing the flavours, odors and beauties of this marvelous city with you.
