Ciao! Welcome to my Bologna. I'm Margherita, a licensed tour guide born and raised here, and I love sharing the stories, flavours and hidden details that make this city feel alive. I have always loved travelling and discovering different cultures. Thanks to my parents, who brought my sister and me around Europe from a young age, I learned that every place has its own stories, traditions and unique atmosphere. After graduating in Foreign Languages and Cultures at the University of Bologna in 2009, I decided to follow my passion and become a licensed tour guide in 2016. What I love most about my job is seeing Bologna through my guests' eyes and sharing the little details that make this city special: the warm colours of its medieval streets, the endless porticoes, the stories hidden behind its buildings, the smell of fresh pasta coming from traditional shops, and the lively atmosphere of its markets. Every time I walk through Bologna with travellers, I discover my city from a new perspective. I still find myself falling in love with Bologna a little more every day, and sharing that feeling with people from all over the world is one of the greatest joys of being a guide. For me, a great tour is not only about visiting important landmarks. It's about understanding the soul of a place, sharing stories and helping travellers feel more connected to the city they are discovering. I love introducing visitors to Bologna's history, art and traditions, but also to the everyday side of local life: where to enjoy a good espresso, where to taste traditional food, where to wander at sunset and the places I would recommend to my own friends. I am also passionate about the region where I live : Emilia-Romagna. It's a region full of art, history, music, craftsmanship and incredible food traditions. From UNESCO heritage sites to world-famous specialties such as Traditional Balsamic Vinegar, Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma and fresh handmade pasta, this land has so many stories to share. Whether it is your first time in Bologna or you want to discover a more authentic side of the city, I would love to welcome you and share my Bologna with you. As a local qualified guide, following Italian regulations, I have access to all landmarks included in my tours. License as Tour Guide since 2016 License as Tour Leader since 2019

If you visit Bologna for your first time, this is the tour you need! I grew up here but I'm not tired of the unique atmosphere of the city: the relax mood at sunset, the warm colour of its walls, the smells of food, the sound of people walking under the portico. We start from the city heart, Piazza Maggiore, with the surrounding buildings witnesses of Bologna history, and the famous Neptune Fountain - the ''Giant'' as we call it. After entering the incomplete S. Petronio Basilica, a real unconventional Church, we continue inside Archiginnasio Palace to discover about Bologna ancient University, dating back to 1088, surrounded by hundreds of coats of arm. Wandering under Bologna Porticoes and crossing the Food district area, we arrive to S. Stephen Church, nicknamed Seven Churches Complex. Finally, we arrive to another famous Bologna Symbol : the Two Towers. The tour can be customized according to your requests.
-Sala Borsa Palace, with the ancient Roman ruins (according to opening days) -Piazza Maggiore and its Monuments -Neptune Fountain -S. Petronio Church, with the longest sundial in Europe -Archiginnasio Palace -Quadrilatero : Bologna Food district -S.
