Mumbai City & Dharavi Slum Tour

We had an outstanding and comprehensive tour of Mumbai city with Shailendra! He picked us up from our hotel in the south part of the city and took us to each of the sites we wanted to visit one by one, with excellent explanations of the history and meaning of what we were seeing, dropping us off at our hotel near the airport at the end of the day. It was an incredibly hot day (not hot for Mumbai standards) and he made sure to minimize our walking and waiting times. We especially loved the visit to Dharavi, which was very eye opening and humbling, and the contrast between the modern city and pockets of old Mumbai like the Dhobi Ghat, right next to each other.

Tour guide was excellent, very informative

We had an excellent tour with Shailendra. He met us on time at the cruise port and we went first to Slum Dharavi. This was such an eye opener for us but felt very safe with our guide. We then went to see all the man sites in Mumbai. Shailendra was most knowledgeable and spoke excellent English . Would recommend this guide.

Shailendra organised this tour and accommodated last minute changes in numbers. It was very insightful and the food tour was beyond expectation. Would certainly recommend!

This was my first time in Mumbai, and I only had one free day to explore the city. I’m so glad I chose a tour with Shailendra. He was excellent. He was deeply familiar with the relevant history of the places we visited. He gave context without being pedantic. His pace was great: relaxed but efficient. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, and our driver was professional and safe.

Good tour to the sites of Mumbai...part of the problem was the extra-crowded time of Diwali but it was still manageable. The driver was super...he took us to Elephant Island separately from the guide and helped us with all the crowds who were there. Recommend this tour.
