At ToursByLocals, we believe that how you explore is just as important as where you go. That’s why every Haridwar tour is private, flexible, and built around you: Move at your own pace, skip the crowds, make connections and follow your curiosity. Find local guides offering private tours in Haridwar for every interest, including:

Religious Sites tours: Meet your guide at Har Ki Pauri at dawn to learn how to make a flower offering and safely touch the Ganga before crowds arrive. Ride the Udan Khatola ropeway to Mansa Devi, continue to Chandi Devi or visit Daksha Mahadev Temple in Kankhal, while your guide explains local customs and saves you a calm spot for the evening Ganga Aarti.

Nature and Wildlife tours: Take a private jeep into Rajaji Tiger Reserve’s Chilla Range to look for wild elephants, spotted deer, and peacocks, with your guide handling permits and timing. Add birding at Neel Dhara Bird Sanctuary by Bhimgoda Barrage to watch river lapwings, kingfishers, and winter ruddy shelducks from quiet viewpoints.

Hiking tours: Walk the forest trail from Chandighat up to Chandi Devi and the hillside path to Mansa Devi, then sip chai at a stall near the ropeway base. For a longer hike, follow your guide to the Neel Dhara viewpoint along the Ganga Canal or a Shivalik foothills route by the edge of Rajaji, with any needed permissions arranged.

The ghats and bazaar lanes are easy to cover on foot, and e-rickshaws and shared autos run widely; for hill temples, Kankhal, or Rajaji, a vehicle works best, so you can book chauffeured tours with private transportation or ask your local guide to arrange pick-up and drop-off.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all itinerary, you can tailor your private tour to match your interests, pace and personality with a local who knows Haridwar inside and out.
