Immerse yourself in the unique beauty of North Iceland on this private tour with me. I was born and brought up in North Iceland and my ancestors have been in this unique part of Iceland for hundreds of years. On this tour, we drive through the captivating Eyjarfjordur to the Waterfall of the Gods, then onwards to Lake Myvatn to see its unique geological wonders. We travel onwards to Europe's most powerful waterfall, Dettifoss. There is also a chance to bathe in the Nature baths, a geothermal lagoon in lava fields (entrance fee not included as it is optional)
What a wonderful man and tour guide. Armann was engaging, knowledgeable and most welcoming to all four of us. His depth and breadth of knowledge about everything was astounding. He even showed us the part of Akureyri where he grew up. It was a truly wonderful day. The logistics went off without a hitch and his van was most comfortable. We had restroom breaks when needed and our stop for lunch was delightful.
Armann was knowledgeable, personable and flexible in crafting a tour experience that met our needs. We saw a lot and learned a lot during our tour, which we appreciated. I would highly recommend Armann.

Our group of 4 had a great day with Armann. He met our cruise ship in Akureyri and took us on a journey around the surrounding points of interest in his very comfy Land Rover Defender. We saw all the major highlights during our 7 hour journey and learned so much as well. Great way to see all there is to see with the time we had in port. We have taken many TBL tours - and never been disappointed and Armann continued our streak. We are even considering a winter trip and will certainly reach out to him again... The natural beauty of the north of Iceland is incredible, but not always easily accessible. That is why we were drawn to a tour in a "super jeep." In this case, the heavily modified Land Rover Defender turned out to be not only capable, but comfortable as well. Even better, it was piloted by Armann, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. He quickly picked up the vibe of our foursome and made every effort to tailor our day to our interests. When he sensed that we didn't really feel like soaking in geothermal pool, he changed gears (pun intended) and took us off road to a quick hike up a hill to see a series of lava tubes. We were the only humans for miles. Really a special tour with an even more special guide!
