Your Heidelberg tour itinerary Our Heidelberg story begins with breathtaking views of the ruined castle. We will travel up to the castle easily by cable car where we first explore the outsides of the castle: PART 1: • Elisabeth Gate - a romantic love gift • Hortus Palatinus - the 8th wonder of the world • Blown up Tower • Castle Courtyard • Ottheinrichsbau - the most beautiful Renaissance palace north of the Alps • German Pharmacy Museum • The Big Barrel - with an incredible 60, 000 gallons, the largest wine barrel in the world PART 2: • After about 1 hour we begin our tour of the inside rooms of the castle. • Tour time is approx. 1 hour. • Tour guide is state official guide. • Will see the insides of most residential rooms of the castle. We take the cable car downtown , go to market square and visit the Old Bridge. End at a cafe or restaurant of your choice if there is time left.
