I invite you to join me on a journey through time from the Middle Ages to present day. Our Heidelberg story begins with breathtaking views of the ruined castle. We will travel up to the castle easily by cable car where we will see: • Battery Park and Deer Moat - where the electors enjoyed hunting • Elisabeth Gate and the Hortus Palatinus - the 8th wonder of the world • Castle Courtyard - with the famed Ottheinrichsbuilding • German Pharmacy Museum - everything about medicine from the Middle Ages • The Big Barrel - with an incredible 60, 000 gallons, the largest wine barrel in the world . . and in town • Market Square and Hercules Statue • Heiliggeist Church and Kings Burial Site • Old Bridge and Bridge Monkey • Birthplace of Germanys first President • Student Jail + University Museum (Sundays only outside) • Martin Luther Memorial Site We can take a break, have a drink or lunch whenever you please.
