Heidelberg Christmas Magic

Having lived in Heidelberg for over a decade, I have spent countless wonderful hours exploring its historic squares, narrow streets and hidden corners. During the festive season, the Old Town becomes especially magical, filled with Christmas lights, decorated stalls and the scent of roasted almonds and mulled wine. This 2.5-hour walking tour starts at University Square and takes you through Heidelberg’s charming Old Town and atmospheric Christmas markets. Along the way, you will discover famous sights and hidden gems, hear stories about the city’s history and traditions, and learn what makes Christmas in Heidelberg so special. We will stroll through the different market squares, enjoy the festive atmosphere and have time for a seasonal treat or a warming cup of Glühwein. Steingasse – Wander down one of the Old Town’s most charming lanes towards the Neckar and Old Bridge.
