On this half day tour, let me take you behind the scenes in the private quarters of the Royal family where the public and the court were not allowed. This is a wonderful day trip from Paris, including private transportation in deluxe vehicles with my dedicated chauffeur. I will meet you at your hotel or accommodation and bring you back into the city at the end of the day. On our arrival at Versailles, I will open a door closed to the public and from then it's just us. You will see, it's quite a unique emotion to be on your own in this crowded palace, right in the rooms where Louis XVI or Marie-Antoinette have spent their last days at Versailles before the French Revolution put an end to the monarchy. We will later on explore the rest of the palace and the Hall of Mirrors of course. This is the most exclusive way to experience Versailles, as a member of the Royal family would back in the 1700s
This was a fantastic tour! Bertrand was a perfect guide and made the "behind the scenes" a perfect way to see Versailles! we were able to go where the crowds weren't. My favorite was seeing the Royal Opera. It was amazing! Bertrand was a perfect guide. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. I would definitely book this tour!! 5 stars!
To be honest, I did not want to visit Versailles. It was my daughters who chose the tour. While perusing through the available Versailles tour, the "VIP tour caught my attention. The price tag made me pause...but I am so glad that I booked this tour! It was AMAZING!!!! Some tours claim to be "VIP" but this tour is the REAL DEAL. Bertrand was such an amazing guide. I loved talking to him and asking him a million questions about everything from Marie Antoinette to Napoleon, which he answered all with a smile. "Behind the scenes with the Royal Family" made Versailles so magical. Bertrand made this tour was worth every penny! If you have always dreamed about going to Versailles OR If you have never thought about visiting Versailles but want to be amazed by a tour, I encourage you to do it the right way and book this tour with Bertrand.
At the last minute Betrand had a sick child at home and had to get a sub for our tour. Lucien Labroue was our guide and he was wonderful. The VIP tour was totally enhanced with a lot of historical information and fun stories told by Luke. He was a great guide: personable, fun, and full of information. Great day!
