Bonjour! My name is Oxana, and I am a National State approved French tour guide. I was born in Moscow, Russia, from where my family moved to France in 1998. I have been living in Paris since, and now know this city like the back of my hand. After finishing secondary school, I first studied fine arts at the Sorbonne University and then joined the school for professional guides from which I graduated, in 2009, with a diploma and a national tourist guide license issued by the French Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Since then I have been working as a tour guide in Paris and its nearby regions with people from all over the world. I myself am a passionate traveler. I have visited over 20 countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America. I speak four languages: English, French, Russian and Spanish, which helps when I am travelling, discovering new continents, people, their history, their culture. As well as visiting other countries, I like to travel inside France, whose regions have so much to offer in terms of cultural heritage, landscapes and, of course, local cooking traditions. Visiting Versailles for the first time? Do you want to see of best of it but don't have much time? Then this tour is made for you! My Versailles tour will introduce you to the French history of the XVII and XVIII centuries. During this period France was at its apogee as the French kings were the most powerful European monarchs while Versailles was the main residence of the royal family. During the tour you will not only visit the most famous royal palace in Europe but also learn about the Sun-King Louis the XIV and the guillotined queen Marie-Antoinette, hear the stories about the French Revolution and absolute monarchy. Don't book your Palace tickets yourself. I will make a necessary reservation to guarantee you skip-the-line entrance to the palace.

Oxana had everyone in our group engaged with the story of Versailles. She has an infectious level of excitement for art history, & pointed out many things that would likely have gone unnoticed if we didn't have her at our disposal.
