Hello there! My name is Anne. Born and bred in Burgundy, I moved to Paris to attend university and never left again! I settled "Rive Gauche" (Left Bank of the Seine river) 25 years ago and after a career as a financial analyst for large international companies, I resumed my studies in History of Art at Paris' famous Ecole du Louvre. After graduating in 2014, I decided to become a private tour guide to share with international visitors my passion for Parisian culture, art and history. Just like Paris welcomed me all these years ago, I will welcome you to Paris as I know it: the City of Light but so much more indeed! Whether you're a first-timer or a regular visitor, I will take you off the beaten tracks and unveil the secrets of Paris' major and lesser-known landmarks. Together, we will stroll the streets just like a group of friends and I will be your very own guide as my tours are exclusively private. Each tour will be tailor-made to match your personal interests, at your own pace and with time to stand and stare. Just tell me what your idea of a dream trip is and I will make it happen! I offer half-day and full day tours which consist of cultural visits, relaxing walks and gourmet breaks in trendy places. In addition to the numerous must-sees, I will introduce you to my favorite hidden spots and we will wander Paris' secret nooks and crannies. Your tour will start and end wherever you fancy: your hotel, a café… Just let me know and I will be there! We will get around by foot and public transports as they are ideal for discovering Paris without getting stuck in traffic jams! *** IMPORTANT NOTICE: please make sure you double-check my availability calendar before sending me a request for tours less than 2 months away. If I am down as unavailable, my calendar will already be set which means I will not be able to offer you a tour. Welcome to my home! Over the past 25 years, I have uncovered many of the Left Bank's secrets and I cannot wait to share them with you during this tour. We will notably see: • The Latin Quarter, home to the famous Sorbonne University, with its winding little streets always brimming with students • The Mouffetard market street, lined with restaurants, bakeries and countless food shops • The picturesque place de la Contrescarpe with its numerous cafés and restaurants • The beautiful Hôtel de Cluny, built in the 15th century over the ruins of a massive Gallo-Roman bath complex • Saint-Germain-des-Prés and its legendary cafés, jazz clubs, trendy retailers and art galleries • The Luxembourg Gardens, a unique haven of peace in the heart of this bustling area. All true Parisian love it! The best macarons can also be found near the gardens.
Anne is delightful! My husband and I both loved our tour of the Latin Quarter with Anne. She showed us the lifestyle of the current times and shared many interesting facts of the past. We both learned a lot about the Latin Quarter and had lots of fun. She customized the tour just for us and showed us the areas and sights we really wanted to see.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on our walking tour of la Rive Gauche with Anne. She is the perfect guide- we hit all the locations she posted on the itinerary, and she educated us with terrific information about all the places we passed by. She has many special insights based on her time living there that really made for a fascinating experience for us. Don’t worry Anne, we won’t tell anyone else about how often you ate at McDonalds when they opened their first restaurant there! She was also kind and thoughtful enough to send us a sample itinerary of a walking tour of Montmartre that we did on our own the next day. We highly recommend any tour with her. Anna was a phenomenal tour guide! She is a wealth of knowledge about the history of Paris and even told us some anecdotes about famous people who lived there. We learned so much about not just the Left Bank but all of Paris. I highly recommend her for this any any tours!
We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of the left bank in Paris with Anne. Two of us were fairly new to Paris and two of us have visited many times. Anne' s tour was perfect for both novices and veterans. Her historical knowledge was impressive as was her insights into popular culture. She was personable and it was easy to ask her questions. She made sure we saw things of interest to us. The tour was conducted at a pace that was comfortable to all in our group. Would highly recommend Anne !!
Anne is the perfect guide to take you on a tour of the Left Bank, her neighborhood. She lead us through the meandering streets and alleyways to view wonderful architecture and beauty. She regaled us with the history of the area, and of other part of Paris. She treated us as good friends walking around for a great afternoon. We heartily recommend her to everyone who wants to become familiar with Paris from the standpoint of a true Local.
The itinerary will vary depending on your interests and could include some of the major landmarks, such as: - The Sorbonne Univeristy (exteriors) - The Panthéon (exteriors) - The Mouffetard market street - Place de la Contrescarpe - The Luxembourg gardens - Church of Saint-Sulpice. Should we visit the church, please ensure that you are dressed appropriately (no tank tops, no exposed shoulders, no short shorts, please!). - Place Saint-Germain-des-Prés - Hotel de Cluny (exterior) - Arènes de Lutèce and so much more… but it will also include my favourite lesser-known sights!
