Private Wine Tasting with Sommelier

We had a fun and memorable night with Patrice tasting wines and talking about French wines and culture. You do not feel like you’re on a “tour” with a “guide,” you feel like you’re out with a friend who has insider wine and France knowledge. It’s nice to feel as though you are a “local.” Thank you Patrice for helping to arrange a driver with a car seat for my 8 month old. This night is one that my family will talk about for years.

How lucky were we to have Patrice as our introduction to Tours By Locals! We went to a fantastic wine bar in the 12th arrondissement and tried five different wines and enjoyed plates of charcuterie, pâté, cheese, and pickles. He explained not only the different wine regions in France, but also which wines to order during our stay in town. He explained to us that you don't have to buy the most expensive wines to enjoy a very good pairing with your meal, which surprised us. We enjoyed watching the locals catch up with each other – such a fantastic break from tourist traps, even though we are tourists! Finally, he gave excellent recommendations for activities and restaurants in Paris. Two hours of conversation, laughter, and good wine that we will always cherish. This was a very fun two hours drinking wine, eating cheese and charcuterie with Patrice. Patrice has a great attitude towards wine which he imparted to me. He also put me onto some very interesting restaurants that I'm going to be trying while I'm here in Paris.

We enjoyed Patrice and the couple of hours sipping and discussing wine. Patrice is entertaining!!
