I have been living and working in Paris for 15+ years. I love my city and love sharing its vibrant art scene with my guests. Originally, I studied Art and Philosophy at Concordia University, Montreal and received a Master 2 / Diplôme des Beaux-Arts de l'ESADHaR, Le Havre, France. As well as being a tour guide, I am a practicing artist. I spent the first years of my life in Paris, going to the museum every weekend to sketch the sculptures and paintings. I have over 15 years of experience working in the arts with artists and galleries, as an artist and curator. I started out running an artist-run center and love making the experience of interacting with art accessible and fun. As a member of the art community, I am more than excited to share with you an insider's view of the vibrant Paris art scene. Let me show you how this city continues to inspire me every day. I also write articles sometimes. Check out my feature in The Lux Insider: https://www.theluxeinsider.com/art/paris-art-map-discover-8-secret-places/ Don't hesitate to send me a message and tell me what kinda art you like! So, I can tailor the visit to your interests! Art and Philosophy at Concordia University, Montreal - Master 2 / Diplôme des Beaux-Arts de l'ESADHaR, Le Havre, France. Join contemporary artist Naomi B. Cook for an intimate exploration of world-class public art collections through the lens of a working practitioner. With over a decade of experience creating research-based visual projects and specialized education in French art history, Naomi offers a unique perspective that bridges historical masterworks with contemporary artistic concerns. This isn't your typical art tour. Rather than rushing through collections, ticking off famous works, we'll slow down, look closely, and engage deeply with carefully selected pieces that resonate with your particular interests and curiosities.
Meet at the agreed location near the venue Brief discussion of the day's plan and your specific curiosities Overview of the collection and what makes it unique Visit selected works (fewer pieces, more time with each) Artist insights into technique, materials, and creative process Discussion of historical context and contemporary relevance Hands-on observation exercises: learning to "read" artworks like an artist does Connection points between works across different periods or media
