Hello there! My name is Anne. Born and bred in Burgundy, I moved to Paris to attend university and never left again! I settled "Rive Gauche" (Left Bank of the Seine river) 25 years ago and after a career as a financial analyst for large international companies, I resumed my studies in History of Art at Paris' famous Ecole du Louvre. After graduating in 2014, I decided to become a private tour guide to share with international visitors my passion for Parisian culture, art and history. Just like Paris welcomed me all these years ago, I will welcome you to Paris as I know it: the City of Light but so much more indeed! Whether you're a first-timer or a regular visitor, I will take you off the beaten tracks and unveil the secrets of Paris' major and lesser-known landmarks. Together, we will stroll the streets just like a group of friends and I will be your very own guide as my tours are exclusively private. Each tour will be tailor-made to match your personal interests, at your own pace and with time to stand and stare. Just tell me what your idea of a dream trip is and I will make it happen! I offer half-day and full day tours which consist of cultural visits, relaxing walks and gourmet breaks in trendy places. In addition to the numerous must-sees, I will introduce you to my favorite hidden spots and we will wander Paris' secret nooks and crannies. Your tour will start and end wherever you fancy: your hotel, a café… Just let me know and I will be there! We will get around by foot and public transports as they are ideal for discovering Paris without getting stuck in traffic jams! *** IMPORTANT NOTICE: please make sure you double-check my availability calendar before sending me a request for tours less than 2 months away. If I am down as unavailable, my calendar will already be set which means I will not be able to offer you a tour. If you want to immerse yourself in local culture, and feel like a native, this tour is made for you! Indeed, the pleasure of eating fine cuisine is a big part of French life. For this reason, Parisians prefer shopping for food at local markets, with stalls offering produce such as regional cheeses, cured meats, poultry, fresh fruits and vegetables. You should not miss this unique opportunity to enjoy this bustling atmosphere as it is a must-do when in Paris. Each Parisian neighbourhood not only has its very own food market streets but also various open-air markets. In total, 69 of them are spread over the 20 Parisian districts, not to mention an additional 13 covered markets. If you feel like it, you will be most welcome to taste some local delicatessen. This tour can be done every morning except Mondays. Please note that this is not a food tour, although it is sometimes possible to get free samples.
A perfect half day tour with Anne. She will show you sites you may not see on your own. Sites that the locals use on a daily basis for purchasing fresh fruits, vegetables, cheese, meats, bakery, flowers and more. It is a colorful excursion through some of Paris's beautiful streets.

Anne's tour was outstanding. Wonderful comments about history, restaurants, tips for traveling in the city of Paris. Anne was also very considerate and asked about our abilities to walk up and down stairs. We did a lot of walking but also learned how to see the metro and bus systems her English is excellent.
