Hi, I’m Thomas, born and raised Parisian. For over a decade, I’ve been passionate about uncovering the stories behind Paris’s rich historical and artistic heritage. Every street, artwork, and monument here holds layers of meaning, and my fascination began right on my doorstep. Since the age of seventeen, I’ve traveled extensively across Europe and Asia, deepening my understanding of art and history. I love sharing these insights with curious visitors eager to explore Paris and its global influence. Over the past eight years, I’ve dedicated myself to becoming a licensed tour guide, earning university degrees in History, Art History, and Guiding. After years of experience as a heritage interpreter and museum educator, I now lead tours in both English and French, helping visitors, whether first-timers or seasoned travelers, discover the many facets of Paris and France. As a local, I know the city inside out, past and present. My goal is to bring Paris to life through engaging stories, entertaining anecdotes, and informative tours that reveal the city’s best-kept secrets.

Orsay Museum is the best place in Paris to understand many transformations of the 19th century that shaped French modernity. During this tour, you’ll see how architecture and fine arts transformed in only one century, giving to history of art a legacy still accurate. From the last classicals works of art of the Parisian “Salon” to the modern impressionists and those they inspired, dive into the rich history of paintings in the 19th century. Architecture is a mirror to society, thanks to the museum’s look itself and models of streets and monuments, you’ll see how Paris transformed to be the city you can nowadays witness.
In Orsay, many works of art can be changed from one day to another, to display the vast collection of the museum. Here you can have an idea of what we’ll see together: Paintings by Ingres, Delacroix, Cabanel, Barbizon school painters as Millet, the naturalism of Courbet, Manet, the collections of Impressionists (Monet, Degas, Renoir…), Cézanne, Van Gogh... We’ll also have a look at the museum’s architecture and a model of Parisian streets. Feel free to contact me if you wish to add anything to your tour and see how we can personalize it together.
