Bonjour! My name is Oxana, and I am a National State approved French tour guide. I was born in Moscow, Russia, from where my family moved to France in 1998. I have been living in Paris since, and now know this city like the back of my hand. After finishing secondary school, I first studied fine arts at the Sorbonne University and then joined the school for professional guides from which I graduated, in 2009, with a diploma and a national tourist guide license issued by the French Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Since then I have been working as a tour guide in Paris and its nearby regions with people from all over the world. I myself am a passionate traveler. I have visited over 20 countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America. I speak four languages: English, French, Russian and Spanish, which helps when I am travelling, discovering new continents, people, their history, their culture. As well as visiting other countries, I like to travel inside France, whose regions have so much to offer in terms of cultural heritage, landscapes and, of course, local cooking traditions. However, in spite of there being so many other amazing places on Earth, I truly believe that my city is the best one. BEFORE BOOKING MY TOUR please check the Musee d'Orsay official web site to make sure that admission tickets are available for the same day and time. Do you like the Impressionist paintings? Do you want to hear the stories behind the art? Then visit the Musee d'Orsay with a knowledgeable private art expert! Although my visit to the Musee d'Orsay focuses on the paintings of the Impressionists, we will cover a large range of artistic styles and movements of the XIX century. This tour will allow you to understand the origins of Impressionism, its development, and the reasons why it was rejected by most of French society and by art critics at the time. As well as simply admiring their lively, luminous paintings, you will also be encouraged to note the individual style of each Impressionist and will learn about their lives in order to better understand their works. IMPORTANT: No tours are allowed in the Musee d'Orsay on bank holidays such as May 8th, July 14th, August 15th, November 11th in 2026.
Oxana was truly outstanding. She was able to provide insights which we would have never been able to gain on our own. Her knowledge of the different periods and respective artists was very impressive. I would highly recommend her for anyone visiting the Musée dOrsay.

OMG. Oxana is the best. She knows her stuff and knows her travelers. We went to Musée d'Orsay with her and she kept our attention during the entire museum tour. I highly recommend her for everything Paris.
