Musee d'Orsay - Early birds VIP tour

my early morning tour with Bertrand last week was wonderful. He is knowledgeable, engaging and after asking a few pertinent questions of me, took me through nearly two hours of seeing pretty much everything I had hoped to see...even though the museum opened late. I would not hesitate to recommend him to others looking for a great experience at the D'orsay, and I have no doubt that he'd be equally informative and entertaining at other sites in Paris.

I liked Bertrand's description of his tour of Musee d'Orsay so I booked his tour. Right on time, Bertrand described the evolution of the Impressionist movement and how Paris of their time affected their art. We then moved inside (avoiding the line) where Bertrand started explaining the significance of the art and artists in the various rooms. His passion and knowledge of the subject matter was readily apparent and he truly brought the art to life for us, something an audio guide could never do.

Bertrand was an exceptional guide who really made the world of the artists come alive for us. He captivated us with behind-the-scenes stories of famous paintings and helped us appreciate the works in a new way. The tour ended with a unique moment that only Bertrand could offer …. as he told the surprising tale of his own personal family connection to the paintings! Bertrand has my highest possible rating!

Bertrand was an excellent guide. He is very personable and he had the right balance of information and humour. He chose different interesting things to see and allowed time for us to spend on the things that I was most interested in. A great way to beat the queue and to enjoy the Musee in more depth.
