Bonjour! I am an Italian art historian Parisian at heart and a licensed tour guide in France. I fell in love with Paris a long time ago, when I visited this incredible city for the first time. When I moved here I decided to learn everything about its history, culture, art but also legends, traditions, food, lifestyle, boutiques. . . I read all the books I could; I visited every single museum, art collection, monument and historical place I could, including the closed ones (good guides always have great connection); I walked along (almost) every street, garden, square and I consumed some many shoes you cannot even image. I ended up being a French licensed tour guide, a professional personal shopper in Paris and I am still learning! I make new discoveries every day and I love sharing my knowledge with travelers who are curious to learn something more than what you can read in tourists' books. In my tour, I love making the past lives again, following unusual paths even in the most touristic areas and letting you experience the authentic Paris, feeling like local. Join me in this fascinating tour, explore the museum with an art historian and learn everything about the evolution of European western art, from ancient Greece to XIX century France! We will admire all the most famous masterpieces, including the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory of Samothrace, Mona Lisa, paintings by David and Delacroix, Michelangelo's sculptures and many others. . . and I will share with you my knowledge about art history and plenty of anecdotes about the artists' lives. Wandering around the museum you will also have the chance to learn the history of the building and its art collection and at the end of the tour you will have the opportunity to stay in the Museum longer to visit the other galleries at your own pace!

Sara was a fantastic guide. The 2 1/2 hours flew by. We were a mixed group of 5 from age 17 to 70 and everyone loved it. Sara REALLY knows her art and the Louvre. I had been to the Louvre several times but this was by far the best experience I have ever had. Sara guided us to the most important pieces and expertly described the history and artist as well as taking us to the most interesting parts of this former palace. We would all highly recommend Sara as a guide if you are going to the Louvre. (PS - Breezed past the lines!)

Usually the departments included in the tour are always open but if you are looking for a personalized itinerary, including other areas of the museum (Dutch and Flemish artists, Egyptian collection. . . ) please do not hesitate to contact me!

Outside the great pyramid of the Louvre, near the equestrian Statue of Louis XIV (sole statue in Louvre's courtyard). I will have a green folder so you can recognize me among other guides. Best subway stop is Palais Royal - Musee du Louvre (line 1 or 7). If you take a taxi the address for the driver is Place du Carrousel. On request I can pick you up at your hotel/apartment in Paris city center - in this case consider that transfer time is included in the tour
