Louvre Masterpieces - Private Museum Tour

Le Louvre is my favorite place in Paris. I discovered it when I was a student and I am still fascinated by it many years after. I also know how easy it is to get lost and miss the must-sees, so I offer you to do the most with the time you have and discover the highlights of the world's largest museum. My passion is to share artistic and historical insights as well as good stories that give you a key to understand what you're are looking at. We will enter in the museum together, trying to reduce our waiting time as much as possible. Please contact me prior to booking so we can make sure there is ticket availability. We'll spend time in the Eastern Antiquities department, the Greek art section and the Italian and French paintings departments. As long as we discover different rooms, I'll focus on specific masterpieces but you are welcome to ask questions on any other one that might be fascinating to you. After around two hours together, you will leave Le Louvre with good memory of insights, art and chuckles!

·After meeting at the Louvre, our journey will start with the gems of Eastern Antiquities (did you know Le Louvre is hosting an entire Assyrian palace ?) ·We will then walk to the medieval Louvre and the Greek department to contemplate its worldwide famous statues (Venus of Milo and Winged victory). We will also be fascinated by the magnificent Apollo's gallery (and the crown jewels of France) ·Next, we will walk through the Grande Galerie with its italian paintings (Giotto, Uccello, Ghirlandaio, Mantegna) and enjoy 4 paintings from Leonardo da Vinci (Virgin on the rocks, La belle Ferronière, St Ann and the Virgin Mary, Mona Lisa). -We will conclude with French paintings of the XIX century and understand why they were such artistically and politically revolutionary.
