Overview of your Paris tour
On this Combined Full-Day Tour, we will venture outside Paris for an exploration of two amazing sites with remarkable gardens. We will embark on an exploration of Versailles palace, introducing you to the glorious lives and tragic destinies of Versailles' most famous residents. Inside the palace, we will visit the Royal Chapel, King Louis XIV's apartments, and the iconic Hall of Mirrors, Queen Marie-Antoinette's apartment, before escaping to the gardens where we will view impressive perspectives and uncover hidden groves and fountains. Once in Giverny, we will discover the charming village and estate where Claude Monet lived for 43 years. During this bucolic promenade, we will immerse ourselves into Monet's living, breathing studio: the gardens. We will start with his masterpiece, the water garden featuring the water lily pond and the Japanese bridge, followed by the flower garden, then the house. On the way back to Paris, we'll take pastoral back roads and enjoy scenic views on the Seine river valley.

My wife and I spent a fantastic day visiting Versailles and Monet’s house in Giverny with Pierre-yves. He picked us up from our hotel in Paris and we headed straight to Giverny. He scheduled the entire day to avoid times that would be crowded with other tourists, and found us a restaurant where we shared a delicious lunch of galettes together. He is incredibly knowledgeable of the history of Versailles and Monet’s house. He also ensured that we timed our visits to the Versailles fountains when they were operating, and toured Monet‘s garden when the daylight was just right. It was a truly wonderful and memorable day.
