French countryside & charming villages with Claude Monet & Vincent van Gogh
Overview of your Paris tour
Let's explore! Time to leave Paris behind and chase the Seine and Oise Rivers as we drive into the beautiful french countryside and through countless charming villages. Come discover Giverny, the village where the father of impressionism Claude Monet settled in 1883 (and remained until his death in 1926) and Auvers-sur-Oise, the town where Vincent van Gogh spent his final days. We will start with Monet's house followed by the flower & water gardens which inspired some of his most famous works like Water-Lilies and the Japanese Bridge. After a lunch Break, we will drive on a scenic road and follow the path of Vincent van Gogh in Auvers-sur-Oise. First we will see the lodge where he died, then explore the small town where he painted his final masterpieces, and lastly pay tribute to the artist at the cemetery where he is buried.
