Bonjour, and welcome to France! My name is Olesya, and I am a professional, licensed guide. I first came to Paris twenty years ago to study at Sorbonne University, and from there, I gave a piece of my heart to this magical city. My love for Paris is ever-growing, and I would be more than happy to share it with you! After graduating from Sorbonne University, where I studied English philology and literature, I worked as a professional translator for numerous Parisian and international translation agencies. Overview of your Paris tour

We'll start our day by visiting the exuberant gardens with the famous water lily ponds created by the famous painter, Claude Monet, at his home in Giverny, close to Paris. We will walk through his Eden house and the green oasis and feel the atmosphere which reigned at the home of the Master of Impressionism and marvel at the floral compositions and water lilies, his greatest sources of inspiration. We'll talk about the life of the great master, his family, his passion for gardening and, of course, about art! In the second part of the tour we'll visit the amazing Palace of Versailles! This unique site has witnessed many upheavals and holds both known and lesser - known historical facts between its walls. Together, we enter the privacy of this exceptional place to learn about its incredible history and the life of its courtiers, kings, and queens. From Louis XIII to the French Revolution and even into the 21st century, you will discover the mythical Palace of Versailles in its grandeur and decadence.

You cannot do a proper tour of Giverny or Versailles without a private tour guide. We highly recommend Olesya for any and all tours. There is so much INSIDE information that you receive from a “Knowledgeable” tour guide. No waiting in lines. She takes through chronically and it all makes sense. We did the Falling Louvre first, Impressionists Gems the second day. We skipped a day to be on our own and followed up with Giverny and Versailles. It was the perfect sequence as each tour lended to the next. Do not do Paris without a small group (1-6 people) and I highly recommend Olesya.

We needed a gentle tour because we both have been injured and that's what we got! Olesya was very good about taking it slowly and making sure we had the chance to sit on a bench and rest. She was very informative about the gardens and the Louvre. The gardens were gorgeous - full of flowers. There were even some peonies that were as big as your head! We enjoyed lunch and had a great conversation about life.
